Haul | Primark, Zara, H&M, Superdrug

Hello everyone,
Over the past week I have picked up a few things from the shops so I thought I'd share them with you!

ZARA
I have a bit of an on-off thing with Zara sometimes I find pieces I like, sometimes I don't. I find that their quality isn't the best and for the price it should be. I found these two pieces in the sale.
I'm loving hats at the moment especially beanies, I love the the colour of this one (the picture doesn't show the colour- burgendy). I have already worn it out and i love it.
When I first saw this parka/jacket I wasn't crazy about it, but I tried it one and bought it. I would have usually left it and come back to it another day but it was the last one there and it was in the sale (£59.99 to £19.99). I guess it was one of those impulse buys. I'm glad I bought it and it was defiantly a good buy.

PRIMARK
I'm really loving primark at the moment especially their clothes and accessorises. I picked this long sleeve top up about a week ago and I have been wearing it so much. I don't know if you can tell by the picture but it's a very thinly kitted cotton stripy material. I love the colour so much as its really unique, they described it as 'heather' but I would say its more of a pinky/burgundy colour. They did loads of other styles and colours. I had my eye on a creamy/brown and a mint one which I might go back for! I also picked up a plain white t-shirt as I watched Sammi's (beautycrush) video on how to style the plain white tee and I want to recreate a few looks. I know it looks like nothing on the hanger but I already have a few outfits in mind. It is a bit too long and fitted so I may cut it or just roll it up.
Crosses have been way overdone but I really liked the tarnished gold colour of this necklace so I picked it up. They also did a silver one. I plan on wearing this as a double chain because I don't really like long necklaces on me.

H&M
I actually bought this jumper today when I went shopping with my mum and sister. It's quite a thick knitted jumper but I think it screams spring out at me. Its not something I would usually go for as its quite bright but I love the colour so much, the base is a creamy colour which has pink and mint threads running through it but the picture isn't doing it justice:(

SUPERDRUG
I have been on the hunt for a salt spray for a few weeks now, I saw this one mentioned in lots of haul videos on YouTube so I thought I would give it ago. I had read reviews on it before I bought it and they were 50/50. I have tried it and I'm not sure on it yet. I'm going to do a review on it soon so I will go into more detail then.

I can't wait to start wearing all my new things it's a pity I have to go back to school tomorrow. I hope you enjoyed your read.
See you soon,
Sophie Xx

NOTD- Topshop & Glitter

Hey everyone,
Today's post is going to be super quick as I'm quite busy at the moment. But hopefully a haul will be coming up soon and a few reviews so keep yours eyes open for those posts!

Is it just me but don't you think topshop nail polishes are way overpriced?
Saying that I did cheekily buy one recently as I really wanted to own one. I really love this colour, when I first bought it I wasn't a massive fan but it has deffinatly grown on me, phew! I love pairing it with this orange/copper glitter from chitchat ( poundlands own brand). They complement each other well and you can't go wrong with a bit of glitter!
Thank you for reading. See you soon.

Wish list #1

Hello everyone,
Phew the half term is finally here, which means lie-ins, lazy days and revision for mocks:(

I have seen lots of wish lists lately on various different blogs so I thought I would write my first one today.

Barrym- Peach Melba nail polish
This is probably barrym's most famous polish. Everyone and their cat owns this colour. When I walk past the barrym stand in boots I always think to myself 'I'll get it next time' and I never do, but next time I will make myself get it. It is such a wearable colour and will be perfect for spring/summer!

River Island Acid Wash Jeans
I don't actually own a proper pair of jeans :O as I have always found them uncomfortable. But I really like the acid wash style as it gives the jean a 'grungy' look. Hopefully these jeans will fit me as I'm very small. I'm sure various different shops sell acid wash jeans so I will defiantly be able to get my hands on a pair.

L'oreal Salt Spray
Lately I have been loving to loosely curl my hair for a 'beachy look' but it always looks a bit too 'perfect' for my liking. I have seen this product in various different YouTube videos so I want to try it out for myself! I plan on picking it up on Sunday when I'm in town with my friends!

Cherry Red Docs
I have been eyeing up these docs for ages. I love this colour so much and I really love the way docs look on people. They would last me forever as they are such a sturdy boot. The only thing putting me off buying these is most defiantly the price. I don't think these docs will be entering my shoe collection for a while as they are just so expensive. I will have to do some saving!

What's on your wish list?
See you soon X

♡ Monochrome ♡

Hello everyone,
Monochrome is set to be big for spring/summer 2013. It is a super easy look to wear and there are some great high street pieces to be had!

Monochrome is a look that is easy to create. Most people have at least 1 monochrome item lying in their wardrobe that justs needs an iron!
Pairing a statement monochrome piece with a plain 'top' or 'trouser' is a great way to create a monochrome look. It's quick and looks like you have but a lot of effort into your outfit, when really you haven't.

If you want to rock the monochrome look but are afraid of crazy patterns, opt for a skirt/trouser/top that has small monochrome details in that are only visible to the eye up close, like polka dots.

I hope this post has helped guide you in searching for monochrome pieces in the shops.

The Statement Gold Chain ♡

Hello everyone,
A gold chain (in my opinion) is a staple for every girl to own. It sets off an outfit so well and really brings an outfit together. I have never really been one for statement jewellery I have always loved layering delicate necklaces, but over the past few months I have really been getting into statement pieces.

I bought my chain from h&m not long ago (you can also buy a similar one from Topshop for around £10) It was £3.99 ( if I remember rightly) and has been the best £3.99 I have ever spent. I have worn it with so many outfits and I just love it.

In the first picture I'm wearing it with a plain grey knitted jumper also from h&m. I think this jumper is quite boring, but when I pair it with the chain it makes the outfit look a lot more interesting and I think they work well together.

In the second picture I'm wearing it with a sleeveless checkered shirt, (from new look) under the collar. The necklass goes really well with the bronze/gold buttons of the shirt and they compliment each other well.

I really recommend purchasing a gold chain as they are so versitile and I think they will never go out of fashion.

See you soon. X
